Identifying features of polystyrene plastics :

Polystyrene (Polystyrene, referred to as polystyrene, PS, GPPS, can produce fully transparent plastic hangers.

Properties of polystyrene:

1. Good optical performance, its transmittance is 88~92%.

2. The electrical performance is excellent, and its volume resistance is (10×18Ω)

3. It is easy to form and process, because of its low specific heat, low melt viscosity, strong plasticizing ability, and fast heating and forming, so the molding cycle is short.

4. Good coloring performance, the surface of this plastic is easy to color, print and metallize.

5. The biggest disadvantage is brittleness, its impact strength is very low: (83.5 ~ 98Mpa), and its wear resistance is also poor.

6. The heat-resistant temperature is low, and the maximum operating temperature of its products is 60-80 °C.

7. The molding process conditions are relatively high.

8. The acid resistance is poor, and the products will decompose and crack when they come into contact with acid, alcohol, grease and food.
