Basic knowledge and wide application of recycled plastics

Basic knowledge and wide application of recycled plastics:

1. Recycled material - scrap from plastic molding or other sources of plastic waste that has been properly treated so that it can be reused in the manufacture of lower quality products.

2. Recycled plastics - plastics based on recycled materials.

3. Nozzle material - refers to the waste formed by the flow channels, corners and substandard products generated in the production process of injection molding products.

4. Machine head material - refers to the leakage material or transition material in the production process of extrusion products and the clearing material when the injection molding machine is empty.

5. Sub-brand material - some plastic materials with unqualified performance caused by changing the brand or variety during the synthesis process of plastic raw materials.

6. Submerged material - refers to materials with a specific gravity greater than 1 g/cm3. This specifically refers to plastic materials containing mineral fillings (polyolefin-based fillings).

7. Floating material - refers to materials whose specific gravity is less than 1 g/cm3. This specifically refers to plastic materials (polyolefins) that do not contain mineral fillings.

8. Flowers - refers to multi-colored miscellaneous materials.

9. Abrasives - powdered materials obtained by grinding plastic waste through a plastic mill.

10. Pelletized material - plastic material produced by granulation device in granular plastic material. With different granulation devices, the granule shape is also different, mainly hemispherical, cylindrical, square and so on.

11. Leftovers - all materials other than products in plastic molding operations. For example, burrs, main channel debris, shunting channel debris, overflow, parison residue, waste, etc. Thermoplastic scraps can be recycled, while thermoset scraps cannot be reused.

12. Recycled material (recycled material) - also called crushed recycled material. It is a waste material such as runner material, gate material, flash material and substandard products produced in injection molding, blow molding and extrusion molding.

13. Spring material - common name for thermoplastic elastomer in recycled material industry, its function is to increase the toughness of recycled material. In some places, it is also called "ground jumping".

14. Dead material - material that does not plasticize when heated. Generally refers to cross-linked thermoplastics. It is also called "raw material" in some places.

15. Melt Index (MI) - The mass value of the thermoplastic resin through a standard capillary tube in 10 minutes under a certain temperature and load, expressed in grams per 10 minutes. It is a measure of the fluidity of thermoplastic resins when they are melted. The larger the numerical value is, the better the fluidity during melting is, but the tensile strength and the like are lowered.

16. Noise material - generally refers to ABS, PS and other miscellaneous materials with metal noise.

17. Baba material - refers to the waste containing more impurities that is cleaned up when the filter is replaced.

18. Bubble - Plastic pellets made by a plastic pelletizer.

19. The first-grade material - the material obtained by crushing or granulating the nozzle material, machine head material, leftover material, etc.

20. Resin - usually has a softening or melting range when heated. When softened, it has a tendency to flow under the action of external force. It is a solid, semi-solid or pseudo-solid polymer at room temperature. Sometimes liquid polymers are also possible. In the plastics industry, broadly refers to any polymer that is a substrate for plastics.
