1. Commonly used electrodes are copper electrodes (commonly known as copper workers) and graphite electrodes:

The efficiency of graphite electrode CNC machining is high, and the efficiency of post-discharge machining is 3-5 times higher than that of copper workers.

Graphite electrodes are brittle and easy to break.

The labor saving of graphite electrode spark machining is small.

The recycling of graphite electrodes requires special institutions (environmental pollution issues).


2. Mirror discharge:

The advantages of mirror placement:

A. Overcome the difficulty of polishing some product molds (such as characters), and eliminate the need for polishing.

B. The surface transition line on the product will not be damaged by polishing.

C. Can improve the paint adhesion after spraying.

    shortcoming:

A. The mirror effect that can be achieved is only relative.

B. Can not achieve large mirror discharge (generally can not exceed the product mold of mobile phone size)

C. The mold core material during mirror discharge generally requires special materials (such as: NAK80 or S136H), and copper workers also generally use special materials.

Use imported (such as Japan's Sambo electrode copper).

D. Spark machining generally requires first rough/fine discharge, and then a third copper worker to make a mirror effect (some copper workers need to be polished).

E. The processing time is long (for example, the processing time of only the mirror surface of the general mobile phone shell is more than ten hours.

F. The equipment is generally a dedicated mirror spark machine, which is expensive. (such as Archie/Charmilles, Shadick, Makino, Daehan Machine)
